Sarah M. Moustafa, MD earned her medical degree from Duke University, where she discovered her love of reproductive medicine and achieved highest honors in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

Dr. Moustafa completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut and returned to her alma mater to complete her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at UNC-Chapel Hill. She is an attending physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and board eligible in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

Dr. Moustafa serves as our Director of Oncofertility here at CCRM Fertility IRMS Reproductive Medicine with an expertise in fertility preservation. She is devoted to helping newly diagnosed cancer patients navigate oocyte and embryo cryopreservation prior to cancer treatment.

Throughout her career, Dr Moustafa has contributed to the field of reproductive medicine. She has published her research in several top peer-reviewed medical journals, including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Fertility and Sterility, and Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics. While she is passionate about all facets of fertility care, she has particular interests in endometriosis, endometrial receptivity, and fertility preservation.

Dr. Moustafa has received many honors and awards, including the Resident Research Award (2018) and being named the Education Chief (2017-18) during her residency at Yale.

When she isn’t helping people achieve their family building goals, Dr. Moustafa enjoys raising two little ones of her own, playing tennis, and traveling, particularly to her native country of Egypt. She is fluent in both English and Arabic.

She is excited to see CCRM | IRMS patients out of our Livingston Office.
