Dr. Serena H. Chen is a Founding Partner and the Director of Advocacy at CCRM | IRMS New Jersey. She served as the Director for the Division of Reproductive Medicine at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center from 2003 to 2024. Dr. Chen is proud, honored, and privileged to have played a role in obtaining better access to IVF and egg freezing for the people of New Jersey. She won the RESOLVE Hope Award for Advocacy in 2020, ASRM’s Arnold P. Gold Award in 2024, and the prestigious Progyny Light the Night Award in 2025 for her advocacy work. Dr. Chen also helped to found Doctors for Fertility (DFF), which supports advocacy training for physicians and other healthcare providers. She is no longer seeing new patients, but continues to perform procedures at CCRM New Jersey, including scans, IUIs, egg retrievals, embryo transfers, and uterine surgeries, while working to protect and improve access to care for all.
