The most meaningful gift you'll ever carry
You’ve had a healthy pregnancy, and now you want to carry again for others who are medically unable. Somewhere, a family is hoping to find someone as selfless as you.
What is a gestational surrogate?
A gestational surrogate, also referred to as a gestational carrier (GC), carries a pregnancy for those who are medically unable. The intended parents have created the embryo so the surrogate has no genetic link to the baby. Helping someone else experience the joy of parenthood is one of the most generous things you can do for another family.

Dedicated team that supports you from start to finish
CCRM’s in-house program means surrogates will work with one consistent and knowledgeable team, not a third-party agency. As part of the clinic itself, our surrogate team communicates directly with your medical providers, so you always know what’s happening and what comes next.
Support and community at every stage
Your surrogacy “village” includes logistical experts, a monthly support group with licensed mental health professionals, and other women who’ve carried before.
Connections that last beyond delivery
You’ll be thoughtfully matched and communicate openly with your intended parents because the experience matters as much as the outcome. Many surrogates choose to carry again.
Fair compensation, so you can focus on what matters most
The compensation is generous and yours to keep, recognizing the time and heart you put in. Intended parents cover every expense separately, from travel and medical care to insurance and medications, so you’re never out of pocket. Your total can also grow with the specifics of your journey.

Frequently asked questions
Will being a surrogate cost me anything?
No. The intended parents cover your expenses, including travel, insurance, medical bills, and medications. Becoming a gestational surrogate should never leave you out of pocket.
Do I need my own health insurance?
You’ll need an insurance plan that covers a surrogate pregnancy. If your current plan doesn’t, the intended parents provide one that does, at no cost to you.
Do I have to travel?
Your medical workup and the transfer take place at the CCRM Fertility of Colorado clinic located in Lone Tree. All expenses are paid, including lost wages and childcare. Our team is happy to help coordinate travel as needed. You choose an OB and hospital near you for pregnancy care and labor and deliver to
Am I biologically related to the child?
No. The embryo is created from the intended parents, sometimes with donor gametes, so there is no genetic link between you and the baby.
Is surrogacy legal, and how am I protected?
Surrogacy is legal in most states, though the specific rules vary. CCRM works with attorneys who specialize in fertility, and your rights and protections are written into a legal contract between you and the intended parents.
What's the difference between a gestational surrogate and a traditional surrogate?
A gestational surrogate, also referred to as a gestational carrier or surrogate, has no genetic link to the baby. The embryo is created by the intended parents, sometimes with donor gametes, then transferred to the surrogate. A traditional surrogate uses their own egg so she is genetically related to the baby. CCRM does not practice traditional surrogacy.
What if I need a gestational surrogate to grow my own family?
Your care team at your CCRM location can walk you through what this path could look like for your family. Right now, our in-house gestational carrier (GC) program is available exclusively to intended parents who are current patients at CCRM Fertility of Colorado.
