National leader in fertility research and science welcomes Dr. Wael Salem to its team of seasoned fertility experts in Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS – August 1, 2018 – CCRM (Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine), one of the leading fertility centers in North America, today announced the addition of Wael Salem, M.D. to its team of award-winning fertility specialists. Dr. Salem will see patients out of CCRM’s Minneapolis facility beginning August 20, 2018. He will join April Batcheller, M.D., who co-founded CCRM Minneapolis with William Schoolcraft, M.D., in 2015.
Dr. Salem joins CCRM from Los Angeles, where he completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Mayo Medical School College of Medicine and completed his residency for obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco. While in training, Dr. Salem consistently received honors and awards recognizing his achievements, including the Outstanding Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology award by AAGL. Dr. Salem holds two master’s degrees – one in Public Health from the University of Cambridge and the second in Clinical, Biomedical and Translational Investigations from the University of Southern California. He received his undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Salem is a member of several prestigious organizations including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, ASRM Special Interest Groups, Pacific Coast Reproductive Society, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology along with the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
In addition to presenting his research at esteemed medical conferences around the globe, Dr. Salem has authored numerous publications for notable peer-reviewed journals, including the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Journal of Surgical Oncology. He is also fluent in Arabic and French and is conversational in Spanish, helping accommodate our non-English speaking community.
