Frozen embryo, sperm, and egg storage

CCRM’s advanced technologies and strict lab protocols provide the best possible environment for your cryopreserved specimens:

  • All incubators and storage tanks have 24/7 monitoring
  • Alarms and bulk storage tanks have generator outlets and backup batteries
  • Small storage tanks are manually checked daily and refilled appropriately
  • Backup storage tanks contain extra liquid nitrogen if embryos need to be moved to another tank

Frozen egg, sperm, and embryo tracking

CCRM’s IVF process includes a double-witnessing approach; two embryologists verify that all materials match before moving samples or performing critical procedures such as ICSI or frozen embryo transfer.

  • CCRM is the first IVF network in the U.S. to implement the electronic witnessing system, Matcher, which is an additional witness and safeguard to help avoid mismatch errors.
  • CCRM also partners with TMRW Life Sciences for off-site storage; two state-of-the-art biorepositories located in New York, NY and Boulder, CO deliver peace of mind that long-term eggs and embryos are stored securely.

The CCRM difference

Extensive training

CCRM embryologists receive years of training prior to handling your samples. All CCRM locations have senior embryology staff with more than 15 years of experience.

Experienced team

CCRM's embryology team is comprised of more than a dozen PhDs trained in the upper levels of genetics and physiology.

Quality control

CCRM labs implement an additional level of quality control testing on all media and contact supplies, safeguarding materials for your developing embryos.

Network-wide consistency

We take exhaustive measures to ensure consistency between the various IVF laboratories in our network, including inventory management, centralized and recurrent staff training, routine data analysis, and communication between facilities.
