There are a variety of reasons why people need an egg donor. Many recipients have been trying to get pregnant on their own for several years. We see women who have gone through premature menopause, have a genetic condition and want to prevent passing it on to their biological offspring or her eggs are unable to be fertilized due to other causes.
Recipients in the LGBTQ community face different fertility options and challenges than others who can attempt conception without any medical help.
