ONE IN EIGHT American couples struggle with infertility at some point in their lives.  It’s a disease that impacts millions of Americans and does not discriminate based on gender, religion, race, socioeconomic status or sexuality.

Although, so many of us are affected by infertility, it is a topic that is rarely talked about in the open. This week, CCRM is supporting National Infertility Awareness Week – a movement to reduce stigma and educate the public about infertility, a condition that affects so many of us.

The theme of this year’s National Infertility Awareness Week is “Listen Up!” This public awareness campaign is created so anyone who cares about the infertility community can feel empowered to do something that makes a difference, either in your own family building journey or to help someone else.

Individuals trying to have a baby, but have little success often feel isolated, frustrated, and sad. It’s important to bring awareness to this important issue to let others know they are not alone.

How you can spread the message

Listen Up! It’s time to understand how infertility can affect you.

The more we all can speak out, listen up and advocate for change, the less the ONE IN EIGHT will have to suffer in silence. Together, we can make a difference.
