When my husband and I met Dr. Payson for the first time, I had already endured many failed rounds of IUI and IVF over the course of nearly three years. I had been diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis and had extensive surgery to remove it. Needless to say, we were feeling beaten down and defeated.
We liked Dr. Payson immediately because of his warm and funny bedside manner. He was also clearly knowledgeable and confident, two traits that put us at ease and made us know we were in good hands. We also appreciated that he was both positive and realistic at the same time. He always took time to answer all of our questions and never made us feel rushed.
Dr. Payson educated us on a very new, cutting-edge test that helped us determine the best day for our embryo transfer. He also recommended additional genetic screening (PGS.) This led to our first successful round of fertility treatment in three and a half years, which resulted in the birth of our beautiful daughter last October.
Dr. Payson went the extra mile to make us feel cared about through the process. He made personal phone calls when I had questions and concerns. He was there to do the careful monitoring of my pregnancy in the very early weeks. I believe that it takes a very special person to be an exceptional doctor in this particular field. It takes a person with empathy, kindness, patience, and commitment. That is Dr. Payson without a doubt. I would recommend him to any friend or loved one going through infertility treatments.
