Counseling and Wellness Services
Many patients see our counselors to discuss relaxation techniques, emotions such as anger, sadness, isolation or fear, grieving or loss issues. Couples do not always cope similarly, so a patient may want to discuss relational concerns either alone or with a partner.
Patient Workshops/Support Groups
We offer two free support groups for you to discuss your situation with others who “get it.” One group is for any fertility patients to discuss the emotional aspects of the fertility journey and the other other is specific to egg and sperm donor recipients to discuss the unique components of third party reproduction. RSVP is required.
Support Supper Club
Support Supper Club offers the chance to eat supper and share experiences with others who are also struggling to conceive. A CCRM counselor will provide you with instruction on how to effectively decrease your stress while undergoing fertility testing and treatments. Guided meditation, progressive relaxation and breathing exercises are among the techniques you will learn. This event is free and open to out-of-state/international patients.
with Laura Kupperman and Heather O’Brien
Yoga is increasingly recommended for people trying to conceive, both because it helps relieve stress that can accompany fertility challenges and because the many therapeutic benefits may enhance fertility. Boulder instructor Laura and Denver instructor Heather are both experienced in safely working with women during all phases of IVF an IUI.
Benefits of Yoga for Fertility
Increased blood flow to reproductive organs
Decreased tension in hips and pelvis
Reduced stress – which in turn can help decrease cortisol levels
Better endocrine function and hormonal balance
Overall toning and muscle strengthening
Reduce discomfort associated with IVF cycles
Greater peace and ability to relax
Yoga is a great way to live more comfortably in your body when you are trying to get pregnant!
Well, we got the results back and it’s a big YES! We are pregnant. I really feel like I have you to thank for this – you helped me relax SO much and I have truly loved the yoga I have done (and will continue to do) with you! All I have to say is I can’t believe it … I am really in shock right now. Big hug to you.

Recent studies have demonstrated that the ancient Chinese process of acupuncture may assist with infertility. In order to give our patient the greatest chance of becoming pregnant,
CCRM offers the services of licensed acupuncturists at our Lone Tree office seven days a week in conjunction with embryo transfers during IVF.
In acupuncture, very fine sterilized needles are inserted into specific points on the body that have been empirically proven effective in treating certain disorders. New studies have shown that acupuncture administered immediately prior to, and immediately after embryo transfer during in vitro fertilization, may improve a woman’s chance of pregnancy by relaxing the patient and improving blood flow to the uterus.
